The Houseman assists the Housekeeping department. This will mean stocking cleaning supplies, linens, soaps, and other essentials. You will also be expected to bring dirty linens to the laundry. This job requires you to operate a golf cart as you will have various tasks all over the property. Other cleaning duties will be assigned as needed. This job requires you to preform a variety of tasks and be a team player.

The Bar Back assists the bartender. Bar Backs should be familiar with bar equipment, sanitation standards with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar. In addition, responsibilities may include the following: Greets guest as they arrive and depart in a timely manner; Pull requisitions; Carries service tray; Clears dirty plates, glasses, silverware, and condiments from tables; Sorts dirty plates, glasses, and silverware at dish station; Washes glasses; Cleans and wipes tables and chairs; Resets clean tables; Cleans dining room floor; Restocks glassware, silverware, and napkins; Resets tables and side stations; Various other duties as assigned.

You will be working in the Food and Beverage department at Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club. You will be assigned your position upon arrival. The possible positions for Food and Beverage include: Server, Busser, Banquet Server, Host, or Food Runner.

Server:

The Server is responsible for creating a welcoming and pleasant dining experience for the guests. The Server must have superior customer service skills, ability to communicate very well, have a positive attitude, a great degree of initiative, and able to work well in a team setting. The serve must be extremely fluent in reading and speaking English. In addition, the Server must be dependable, flexible, detail oriented, and able to work in a fast paced environment. The server must have knowledge of all item on the menu, and be able to up sell to the customer. The server is responsible for completing cash or credit card transactions with guests. You also may be asked to bus and set tables as needed.

Busser:

Bussers assist the waitstaff in guest service. Bring water and beverages, removing plates and silver when the guest is done; wipes down empty tables and prepares them for the next guest; generally follows the guidance of the server. You may also

bring food from the kitchens to the dining areas to assist waitstaff in timely delivery of meals.

Banquet Server

During banquet events, the server delivers foods and beverages to the participants; removes finished plates and silver; refreshes beverages or foods as requested; responds to guest questions and requests and generally makes every effort toward guest satisfaction.

Hostess:

The Hostess greets and welcomes guests, seats the guest at their table, hands them menus and introduces their server. Takes reservations, if required, and monitors the floor to the highest performance of the servers and guests’ satisfaction.

• Escorts incoming guests to their rooms, check rooms to ensure they are in order, offer information regarding features of rooms, services of hotel and points of interest, assist guests with special needs, attend to group arrivals and departures, receive and deliver items and messages for guests, handle guest complaints and request and maintain luggage storage areas

• Provide the highest level of guest service at all times
